State-of-the-Art Living

Green buildings are smart, high performance buildings that integrate some of the latest energy and mechanical systems technologies. Dramatic new technologies, like solar walls and on-site hydrogen micro-generators, are still a few years down the road. But we are already integrating the latest in heat recovery and remote, internet-based energy management. Sub-metering even allows the possibility of residents managing their own electricity consumption from their desktops.

Innovative Ventilation

Centralized Exhaust In a community with a centralized exhaust system, every suite connects to a common exhaust shaft through their bathroom vent. This process steadily expels air from each suite, while recovering energy from the stale air.

Energy Recovery Ventilation An energy recovery ventilation system delivers fresh air directly into your home, while recovering 60% - 70% of the energy of outgoing air. Waste energy from stale is used to warm the incoming air in winter and cool down air in the summer.

Innovative Cooling

En Wave

Tridel's ELEMENT community incorporated a breakthrough cooling system designed to reduce energy consumption, reduce urban air pollution and reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global climate change. An innovative and highly reliable Deep Lake Water Cooling (DLWC) system was introduced through a joint venture between Enwave Energy Corporation and The City of Toronto.
